Guidelines when recording

When using any tool to record a video, you should have the following considerations:

• Only record the audio that is heard and remove the option to record the microphone.

• Make sure the screen you see looks as big as possible.

• Make sure the screen is as clear as possible, preventing the following from appearing:

  • The title of who is presenting.

  • Participants.

  • The chat.

  • Reaction icons.

• If the reaction and chat are open, you must select the icons to hide:

The following screen layout options in Meet may work:

Spotlight Screen Layout

1. Select the 3 points and then Change layout:
2. Select the Focus option:
3. Select the 3 points that appear above the photograph and select Minimize:
4. Final view:

Sidebar Screen Layout

1. Select the 3 points and then Change layout:
2. Select the Sidebar option:
3. Final view:

Presenter Screen Cutout

If you have a video recorder that allows you to cut out the screen

1. Make sure the screen is as large as possible.

2. Record only the screen that is being presented, example:

   1. Using Spotlight Screen Layout:
   2. Using Sidebar Screen Layout:

Always ensure that the presenter's screen is fixed.
